Sing to the Lord a new song;
sing to the Lord, all the earth.
Sing to the Lord, praise his name;
proclaim his salvation day after day.
Declare his glory among the nations,
his marvelous deeds among all peoples.
Psalm 96:1-3 / NIV
And this is what we aim to do this Sunday at our gathering! We’ve written a chorus that corresponds to the text above. Here’s a rough recording so you can get familiar with it:
We’d like to try an experiment with this chorus at our gathering this Sunday. In the spirit of singing a “new song” to the Lord, I’d love to hear from you what you think we the Church should be declaring about God among the nations.
In the comments below or on the NEFW Facebook page, feel free to contribute something about God you sense we should declare together. We’re going to use some of those words to replace the word “glory” in the above chorus, and in a very real way sing a new song to the Lord – proclaiming the Good News of His Kingdom as we gather.
Let’s create something together as an act of worship in response to our good God. Fire away!
